I'm very bright-eyed this morning due to going to sleep at a reasonable time. So I found out yesterday that my sister got my dad to fork up 1,000 to get her a new auto. Now that wouldn't really be all that big a deal except for a couple of things. It was a 23,000 dollar double-wide Dodge Ram Dakota truck with monthly payments of $330 not including insurance which is $155, she's a broke college student, she only works 30 hours a week and at Walgreens, and she wants to move in with me and my b/friend into a 900 a month duplex, of which was her idea. I have to decide today if we are actually going to move in together, I'm having huge doubts now, of which she just acts like she has no idea why I am. What the hell?! Is it just me or does that just seem totally irrational? When I got my new car I was working about as much as her and I knew that I wouldn't be able to afford anything close to 300 monthly payments. And I'm almost positive she got the same model of truck her ex-boyfriend had too, the one he totalled and died in almost 3 months ago. To me this just spells badness all around. I don't know what to do. On one hand I do want to help her out by living with her and splitting the rent and bills but then on the other hand she really shouldn't have gone out and tacked on 330 extra dollars to her already filled monthly plate. I mean why not get a used truck that would cost her half that price? I really don't feel good about this at all.
